This ill-balanced world is not absolutely rosy.
Nor is it totally thorny.
The rose is soft, beautiful and fragrant.
But the stem on which it grows is full of thorns.
What is rosy is rosy;
What is thorny is thorny.
Because of the rose one will not meddle with the thorns,
Nor will one disparage the rose on account of the thorns.
